On-Call Delivery Driver

Job Description:

DHL is hiring On-Call Delivery Driver to help manage the increased package volume during the holiday season. This position is ideal for those who enjoy working independently and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Both fulltime and parttime roles are available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package Delivery: Conduct the delivery of packages to customers along a designated path, ensuring that each package reaches its destination accurately and on schedule.
• Drive a DHL delivery vehicle while following all rules of the road and guidelines set forth by the company.
• Provide customers with a high level of service by engaging with them in a professional and friendly manner.
• Package Handling Protocol: Follow proper procedures to load and unload packages in your vehicle, ensuring their safe and careful handling.
• Enhance the effectiveness of your deliveries by strategically planning your route to improve efficiency.
• Keeping Delivery Logs: Manage detailed logs of all deliveries made, outlining any difficulties experienced while completing the process.

Qualifications:

• A legitimate driver's license and a history of driving without any infractions.
• Aptitude for raising and transporting packages of up to 70 pounds.
• Exceptional talent in delivering excellent customer service and effective communication.
• Having the competence to work alone and uphold a sense of order and organization.
• Capacity to accommodate shifts during high-demand periods, such as weekends and holidays.
• It is beneficial to have previous delivery experience, but it is not a requirement.

Working Conditions:

• Engaging in extensive driving and outdoor work, occasionally encountering challenging weather conditions.
