Regional AFR Sector Product Head, Aerospace

Job Purpose:

As the Regional AFR Sector Product Head for Aerospace at DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), you will drive the development, execution, and performance of the Aerospace sector within the Airfreight product line. This high-impact leadership role involves aligning regional strategies with global objectives, spearheading sector innovations, and supporting commercial and operational excellence throughout the region.

You will work in close partnership with the Global Aerospace Sector Product Head, Regional Airfreight Head, and Country Product Heads to implement best-in-class solutions that support business growth and industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sector Product Strategy
  Develop and implement a regional Aerospace product strategy aligned with global direction and company goals.
• Drive operational plans, budget measures, and performance objectives.
• Lead and coach the sector community in building global win plans and opportunity development.
• Product Development
  Analyze Aerospace & Aviation industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Build and maintain sector-specific infrastructure and commercial guidelines.
• Monitor competitive landscape and develop segment-specific business plans.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and communicate updates across relevant teams.
• Sector Business Development
  Act as the senior sector expert and customer contact for Aerospace-related opportunities and issues.
• Support strategic initiatives, RFQs, QBRs, and major commercial pursuits.
• Lead cross-functional sales and marketing efforts specific to the Aerospace sector.
• Operational Excellence
  Improve efficiency and effectiveness of Aerospace operations through continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and optimize resource usage.
• Implement KPIs and global performance metrics to track progress and ensure goal alignment.
• Product Quality & Compliance
  Develop quality assurance processes and monitor compliance with Aerospace sector regulations.
• Conduct internal audits, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Promote consistency and regulatory adherence across regional and global operations.
• Management Responsibility
  Provide dotted-line leadership to regional and project-based teams.
• Collaborate on resource planning with global leadership.
• Develop EBIT growth plans and provide financial projections for the Aerospace product in the region.
