Job Summary:

As a Material Handler at DHL, you’ll play a vital role in the efficient and safe management of materials within the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment according to our standards and procedures, ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities of a Material Handler:

• Receiving and Verification: Receive incoming materials and verify them against packing slips or purchase orders for accuracy.
• Material Transport: Safely move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Organization and Documentation: Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and storage of materials in designated areas.
• Inventory Accuracy: Assist with cycle counting and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Equipment Operation: Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift certification is a plus).
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling materials and completing tasks is essential.
• Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse Environment: Fast-paced setting with exposure to moving machinery and varying temperatures.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical activities like standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
